Jan. 17-19
Art Deco Art Show
South Beach, FL

This year, here in the heart of the Art Deco Architectural Historic District, we celebrate “Art Deco at Play.” Play means having fun and we have fun and games for everyone! Every year since 1978 the Miami Design Preservation League sponsors this celebration of Art Deco by closing Ocean Drive and inviting the World to join us in recognizing the historic architecture of Miami Beach. What began as a way of drawing people to the district and teaching them about Art Deco to help preserve it, has in itself become an event that is a part of the history of Miami Beach. Now this event helps us to continue to bring attention to the district that we fight to protect everyday. Although recognized world wide, its amazing architecture still needs protection from destruction! By participating in Art Deco Weekend you are helping us win that fight.
