About Me!

I have been a professional Metalsmith for over 25 years, showing one-of-a-kind, hand-fabricated jewelry in over 50 galleries, museum shops and boutiques. I have also reviewed gallery shows for trade magazines, co-curated metalwork exhibitions, served as visiting artist lecturer at universities, and as co-coordinator of the art awareness program for K-5 at the Solomon Schechter School. I have a MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
My recent venture is making Judaica, Stars of David. This venture began out of a need for Bat Mitzvah presents for my daughter's many friends-but the stars quickly caught on with women of every age. Most of the stars are sterling where the top triangle has been heat-treated and melted with a torch to produce color, texture and an organic feel, and the bottom triangle, in contrast, is flat, smooth and shiny. Blue, green, yellow and rust tones are created by heating the sterling silver. There is usually a freshwater pearl or opal on top. Other stars adorn clock or electronic parts. I also make non-Judaic pieces employing the same heat-treated technique. Each pendant comes with a sterling or leather chain. Make it more special with my beautiful coin pearl strands that can be purchased to go with one of my pendants or one of your own.
Each piece is hand-fabricated, a one-of-a-kind creation, and signed on the back. I know you will find my jewelry unique and not like anything else in the marketplace.
